Seedy Peanut Butter ToastIngredients:
- slices of quality bread (gluten free, if desired)
- peanut butter, homemade preferred
- ground flax seeds
- chia seeds
- Toast desired amount of slices in a toaster. Slather toasted slices with peanut butter. Sprinkle ground flax seeds and chia seeds on top. Devour.
For Homemade Peanut Butter: In a high speed blender or heavy duty food processor add 1 cup of peanuts (roasted, plain, honey, or whatever your little heart desires) and blend until creamy smooth. Depending on your blender/processor this can take a few minutes or up to 8-10. Just blend. And blend. If you prefer a thin pb, just add a little mild-flavor oil, such as grapeseed, to thin. If you prefer a sweeter peanut butter, you can add maple syrup, honey or agave to taste.
